In addition, and call me crazy or this could be incorrect, but at times it seemed that casting max had greater chances of catching trash then casting between the last increment to max this is indicative that short of casting before the last increment (most people cast perfect or in this increment) casting distance from almost perfect to perfect matters not with relation to catching trash. What I think the formula is is simply closest to the middle edge to edge in a body of water which means that in a river you technically would only need the bamboo rod to catch all fish however Chunklefish probably inserted a modifier that requires you to have the Iridium Rod nevertheless the former rule with regard to what fish type you can catch, but not with regard to your chance of obtaining trash. Now I don't have Chunklefish's precise formula, some say the floaty should be furthest away from any land or land edge the problem with this is that I have some programing experience and implementing that seems too great a mathematical problem (allthewhile for all I know Chunklefish is a Mathematician). The next rule is identical to the way to catch big fish. So the first rule is your energy should be in the green as the first step to minimize catching trash. So what many of us who have put many hours have likely noticed is that if your energy is low you are more likely to get trash this is absolutely true. I don't just mean Trash, but I consider Algea or any miscellaneous consumable good caught while fishing other than fish that's my definition of trash. One of the things, I'm not sure not everyone has figured out is how to minimize catching trash while fishing. I've played Stardew Valley for some time now, more recently the PS4 version.
